Open Water Diver (PADI)

Students training with instructor

The PADI Open Water Diver course is the world's most widely recognized scuba certification, and the one every certified diver starts with. Over a few days you'll work through dive theory, practice core skills in shallow water, and complete four open-water dives with a PADI instructor. Once certified, you're qualified to dive independently with a buddy anywhere in the world.

  • Duration: 3-4 days

Prerequisites

You'll need: Comfortable swimming ability.

Medical clearance required for certain health conditions. View PADI's medical form.

We'll pick you up each day and head to whichever shallow spot suits that day's skills, then to the open-water site for your training dives — chosen based on conditions and how you're progressing. Your four dives build up gradually, starting close to shore in calm, easy conditions before moving to slightly deeper reef as your skills build. If there's a site you're curious about, mention it and we'll see if it fits where you're at in the course. We'll take you back to where we picked you up at the end of each day.

$400per person

Includes PADI eLearning theory. Already completed it, or would rather buy it yourself? Buy it directly from PADI and take $193.40 off at booking — you'll just need to show proof it's finished before your first day.
